OUR FREEDOM,CAN WE KEEPIT?? JULY 4th.What does it mean?

June 23, 2008

Are you smiling at that statement? Well it’s more serious than we want to believe. I was born and grew up in the Bahamas. We gained independence back in 1973, from the Queen. We still reckon the Queen as sovereign and still follow the British form of government, and drive in the left side of the road! We still, thank our Lord, have prayer in schools. The American public school systems replace God with guns back in 1963. We’ve been allot better off since then roger? yeah right? sure looks like it! The date of 1963 maybe wrong, but it was sometime around then. Here is a quote ya’ll would do we to remember” I say to you with all ferver of may soul that we are sowing the seeds of our own destruction in America and much of the free world today!” (Ezra Taft Benson)

We need to go back to what this county was founded on, God! OH, did that offend you?Well maybe you should move to some other country, where they worship some other god. This country of America was founded on God and Godly principles of “Natural Law.”What is Natural Law you say? Thats the problem now,we’re to many generations removed from the revolution of America. Thomas Jefferson said in the Declaration of Independence,”there are laws that govern in the affairs of men which are the laws of nature and of nature’s God”

“Neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt. ” Samuel Adams” Wow,need I say more? These great men of God, are rolling over in there graves, to see where the country that they helped form, are so far removed from there beginning.

“Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters” Benjamin Franklin.

There is no standard today in America where to look unto. Everyone is doing right in there own eyes. Everything is “Relative”.

The forefathers of this great nation knew better, ” Of all dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports,,,and let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion” George Washington.

Do you need God in your life? No,,, can you go on living without the morals that the Bible teach? yes,,,, should you?,,,, You decide!! As you look back in time, to the leave it to beaver days, look at the family structure, and tell me if it wasn’t closer, and came first back then? Any idea as to what was the cause of that? I have a few. I’ll get into them later on.

You know the group of people in this world that have the most faith in God? the Atheist movement! What!!! is Dino gone off his head? Well lets talk about it for a moment. I think it would take a whole lot more faith, to believe this whole life as we know it, ends when we die, and that , the world we see everyday, just poof! appeared.Thats like believing 25 three year olds could rebuild the “Twin Towers” in one day. The American Founding Fathers considered the existence of the Creator as the most fundamental premise underlying all self-evident truth.

” The doctrines thus delivered we call the revealed or divine law,and they are to be found only in the Holy Scriptures. These precepts, when revealed, are found by comparison to be really a part of the orginal law of nature, as they tend in all their consequences to man’s felicity” William Blackstone.

What is freedom? Freedom of religion is what? Does it mean it;s ok to worship the trees,or some hand made object on the school ground just as long as I don’t mention God, or Jesus Christ( unless I’m cursing). So thats freedom eh? If evolution is real,I don’t want to be around when its finally completed! If the world we know today, could come so far in 200 years, what it took all of humanity to do in 5000 years, and screw it up in only 30 years or so, well mudasick! what a future we got to look forward to.

Did ya’ll ever stop an think about the fact that prosperity depends upon a climate of wholesome stimulation with four basic freedoms in operation: The freedom to try; the freedom to buy; The freedom to sell. A free world market, is not one of the government controlling the oil and gas prices!!!!! So just drive less and shut up! Gas is actually cheaper today then 30 years ago! wanna bet? go check out how much you could buy an ounce of silver back in the 1960’s and how much it is today? You could get only around a gallon or so of gas then for an ounce of silver, now you could get about 4!! No joke.

I’m a dumb Bahamian who don’t know much, but one thing I do know, is that the citizens of this great county are sitting back and letting the government reposes your freedom! Or maybe that’s what you want, is a social society. That’s excatly what your gonna get, with all this “help me, help me crying out to the government. Don’t look to the government to help you in your times of crises. Be careful what you pray for, because you might get what you want, and don’t want what you get,,remember the children of Israel?

The core unit which determines the strength of any society is the family! therefore the government should protect its integrity.Period!! Allowing same sex marriages to continue,is just another nail in Americas coffin. Some say just leave the gays by themselves, they ain’t hurting anybody. I disagree big time! Natures law says man for woman, not man for man and woman for woman. If nothings is wrong with homosexuality , lets just put all the gay men and all the gay women on to separate Islands, fast forward 150 years into the future. Shall I expand on this scenario? To words for the end result….THE END!!

I hope I gave you something to chew on. My plee today for all my readers, is to go out and find a copy of the Declaration of Independence, and read it through and through. I sit everyday 10 feet away from a genuine William Stone copy, there are only 36 know to exist in the world today, and my brother and his company owns one!

America has come to far, to go back. July 4th is coming up. Read your history, and learn from it. Don’t let the watered down media control the way you think. thats my dinosdime for today!!

June 11, 2008

Hey mon, wayasay ? long time no takie,,roger! Well I’m back in the saddle again. I was up in Alaska for almost 3 weeks, then since I’ve been back, I had to catch up on all kinds of stuff. Sorry for leaving all my readers hanging,I’ll pay up for it later,,promise!

Yeah we had a good time in Alaska bear hunting,,,,notice I said “Bear Hunting” not bear catching! there is a difference,,,,trust me on this one. I’ll share all the details later when I have more time, and 5 am is a lil further away. I have a Lot to talk about, well as you know, there’s allot of people got allot to talk about but most of it is “BS” roger! If you been watching the news, you gotta agree. All this take about “Global Warming” is a bunch of bologney! All the tree hugga garbage people are trying to do,ta so call “Save Our Planet” is in my opinion a big horse laugh!,. God created this world, and when He wants to do away with it,,,well guess what??? there ain’t nothing me and you can do about it! Man can’t even make a seed from nothing,, so why do we think being so ” eco-friendy” is gonna save our planet?  that just cracks me up. It’s ok tho,,just go on believing everything the Media tells you , and you’ll be alright! HA! Ha!.

So I got a few things to say concerning marriage between a Man and a Woman,,same sex marriage need not apply here, because thats just way to unnatural for me to even comment about it. Me and my wife Cherrene have been married now for 15 years!! last May. And it gets sweeter every day! Hallelujah!!!

There is a secret ya know to a successful marriage,,do you want to know what it is??   She’s always right! 🙂  Don’t all you men agree?? when mommas happy every body’s happy. A happy wife is a happy life!

No seriously,,, we do have a awesome relationship together, and no doubt I could write a book on marriage, we been through most everything, only to come out stronger today.

Here’s my “dinosdime” for today on marriage  “If you do after your married, what it took to get married, you’ll stay married!”  bottom line,, no excuess,,nuff said.

Don’t be shy to leave comments,, this is just a preview of whats to come,,,, so come on back and talk to ya Island boy,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

“Give’em flowers while they’re living!”

May 5, 2008

Sounds strange? well let me give you something to chew on for a while, and it may even change your life.

A few years ago, a close friend of mine died without me ever telling him how much he really meant to me. Those of you who know me, I’m sure you know who I’m talking about. Richard Albury was his name. A dear friend and a respected man in our church and the community. Richard had heart trouble from a young man, and the last few years of his life on earth, it only got worse. We used to play in a band together in church, just enjoying life, if there ever was a joke told, he was laughing the hardest. A good ol’ fun guy to be around. Well my life back on the Island of Spanish Wells, I was a fisherman and we used to go out for around 4-5 weeks at a time away from home. It was announced at church that Richard was going over to Miami to get some test run on his heart. Well, this wasn’t unusual because of his condition with his heart. I was supposed to go fishing in 2 days,so I told my buddy Richard that I would stop by the next morning to chat a while. Well I never did go by, and we went away fishing on schedule. We got a call while out to sea, that Richard had another heart attack, and was dead. My first reaction was” that can’t be true, he looked so good when we left home, how could he be dead?” My heart was broken.Even tho we know that death is a part of life. And one appointment we all gonna make, what hurt me the most was the fact that I had never told Richard how much I loved him,and how much I respected him. Going to his grave site and crying, while putting flowers on the sand, wouldn’t do any good, because he couldn’t hear me. I made a promise to myself then, never to wait till someone dies to say I love you. This same principle could be applied to employers. Some employers wait until a good worker threatens to leave, than they say” oh no, don’t go , I’ll raise your wages!” Well, avoid that by paying people what they worth in the beginning! So I hope this story hit home today. Mothers,Fathers sons and daughters, don’t let a day go by without telling each other how much you love them. Life is but a vapor, and then its gone. Take advantage of the air you breathe, and make your words count. If some has done something good for you, tell’em now while you still can, don’t wait until sand covers up there ears.

dinosdime for the day : “Give’em flowers while there living!”

Cell Phone Island’s

April 29, 2008

Did you know there were such Islands?? Yeah, you’re probably living on one right now! Sounds foolish? well just hear me out for a few.Have you been in a elevator recently, and the person coming in is on the cell phone, walks in, walks out and doesn’t even say “Hey”. Or better yet,you walk into a room of people, lets say a waiting room, or lobby and you’re on your cell phone chatting away because you don’t wanna take the time to say hello. Man what kinda world we living in, when we can’t even take the time out to interact with people around us? I know most everyone reading this is guilty of the following senerio: You’ll be ina conversation with a friend, and their phone rings( with some annoying ring tone by the way), and they, without hesitation, pick up the phone and start beeting up there gums while all the time ignoring you, there “Friend”. When I was growing up, if someone rudely butted in a conversation , that was considered most disrespectful . You would’ve got the reaction “who pulled your chain?” or “who’s talking to you?”. But now it’s perfectly normal to consider the person on the phone more important than the one in person. That’s garbage in my opinion, big time! I might as well tell ye,if some one puts me on hold to talk to the one coming in, I hang up. My interpretation of call waiting is” You don’t count, the one calling in does!” Since moving over here to Utah,I’ve actually seen me walking along side someone, and them feel so uncomfortable that they might have to actually say something, that they pick up there phone and start playing with it.Now thats a heap of foolishness! I don’t care you are. It seems people are so caught up in there own world, that they’re saying”how dare you come into my world and be friendly, don’t you see I’m on my Island?” You might not realize or not, but we’re bring up a whole new generation of children that don’t have a clue about respect ,being polite, having just plain ol’ common manners,or just holding a descent conversation without creating there own language,(TEXTING!!!!) hey I might as well tell ye, the day one of my children ever sends me a text while we’re both inside our house,,,that’ll be trouble in da camp bi’.

So the next time your phone rings while you’re talking with someone else, have some good ol’ fashion values and call’em back. Trust me, it won’t be the end of the world as we know it! Tho I’m not sure if the world of today is the one I want to remember?

the “dino dime”,,,,”get off you’re Cell Phone Island” the real estate there is to expensive; the price to pay is you’re integrity,,,,, bring it on back to ya Island Boy!

Good day to be alive!

April 25, 2008

Amen. If you can reed this you have so much to be thankful for. Sure there’s debt, house mortgages, broken down cars on and on and on right? Hey but guess what? you can see! Did you stop and thank God today for your eye sight? No doubt there’s a whole of people in the world today that’ll trade with you in second your debt for eye sight. When you wake up in the morning and think, man I gotta go to work again today? think about how many people in this country alone can’t even get up!! We could go on talking about our blessings all day long. What I’m trying to say is stay positive and live for today, yesterday’s gone and you can’t do nothing about tomorrow, so focus on the moment. I used to tell my Grandma, who’d worry all the time”Ma, worrying is just like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but gets you no where!” So live in the moment, taking time to appreciate God’s creation, and greet the next person you pass by with a smile on your face cus you now love Life! When someone says to you,it’s good to see you, say “yep, I’d rather be seen than viewed!” ; )

Dino’s dime

April 23, 2008

A Short History of Me.

Well if you wondered here it was no accident, nope, I don’t believe in’em. Now before I go any further, let me tell you a lil bit about my self. I was born and grew up in “The Bahamas”, on the Island of “Spanish Wells”. My education was one of hard knocks, in other words experience was my teacher and in my opinion there is no better. Now, I might as well tell you that people say that us Islanders talk with an accent? well guess what? I type like I talk! No proper grammer here buddy or spelling for that matter, so when you come across a mis spelled word, smile and move on because this programe don’t have spell check, and I’ve already had to look up 3 words in my dictionary, to much time roger.
Ok, now with that, lets move on . I want this blog site to be a place where you can come and cool out. Me and my family moved over here to the States 1 year ago this month. From the beach to the mountains,WOW! talk about a culture shock! Hey but we love it, all of Gods creation is beautiful and fun to enjoy.I’ve spent my whole life under water chassing Lobster’s and fish, now I’m 5,000 ft above sea level! Now that’s what I’m talking about.
If your sitting there looking at the screen thinking? what in the world is this dumb Bahamian beeting up his gums bout? Well my answer is simply this. Everyone I’ve met since I’ve been here seems to have the same reaction.”Where you from? and what you doing here!” some how or another my answer always seems to bring a smile on peoples faces, and that my friend is what life’s all about.
Call it Island culture or just plain contentment in life, but my friends say my opinions and my and my out look on life, is contagious and I need to some how get it to more people, thats the purpose of this blog. Now please remember I’m no Dr. of any kind, way, shape or form! but, having a positive attitude on life and always looking at the glass half full, always finding the good is situations, is gotta count for something right?
So wayasay, pull up a chair and lets chat for a while. I’ve noticed since I’ve been here in America everyone’s way to stressed and trying to work 25 hours a day making money to buy things they don’t need, to impress people they don’t like! what ye call that??
Ok, ya’ll got da mic now,,,,bring in on back and talk to ya Island boy,,,,,,,,
